Spotted Crake - 1 Lodmoor at rear of Post Box Pools

Whimbrel - 100+ Brand's Bay, 2 Stanpit Marsh

Wood Sandpiper - 1 Abbotsbury Swannery, 1N Wytch Causeway

Swift - 8 over Stanpit Marsh, 2 over Broadcroft Quarry

Spotted Flycatcher - 8 along Arne Rd, 2 Milton Abbas, 1 Stanpit Marsh

Pied Flycatcher - 1 Remstone

Redstart - 3 Wytch, 1 Broadcroft Quarry, 1 Middlebere, 1 Stanpit Marsh

Wheatear - 7 Stanpit Marsh, 5 Hartland Moor, 1 Brownsea Is.

Yellow Wagtail - 2 over Stanpit Marsh

Tree Pipit - 7 over Kings Quarry

RARE BREEDING BIRDS

Dorset Bird Club and the Rare Breeding Birds Panel advocate special caution when reporting rare breeding birds as they are vulnerable to persecution and disturbance.

We urge all finders of rare birds to consider whether they may be breeding before sharing the news.

Sightings should always be submitted, in confidence, to the county recorder to contribute to long-term national monitoring.
