Balearic Shearwater - 2 Portland Bill, 6 St Aldhelm's Head.
Cattle Egret - 1 West Bay.
Great White Egret - 5 Lodmoor.       
Osprey - 1 Holes Bay, 1 Winspit.
Grey Phalarope - 1 Christchurch Harbour.
Great Skua - 2 St Aldhelm's Head.
Arctic Skua - 9 Portland Bill, 12 St Aldhelm's Head.
Pomarine Skua - 1 St Aldhelm's Head.
Little Gull - 1 Lodmoor.       
Turtle Dove - 1 Portland (Watery Lane).
Woodlark - 6 Winspit were presumably migrants.
Whinchat - 4 Christchurch Harbour, 1 Eye Mead, 2 Maiden Castle.
Pied Flycatcher - 1 Portland (Suckthumb Quarry).
Grasshopper Warbler - 1 Portland Bill.
Firecrest - 2 Hengistbury Head, 3 Portland Bill.



Migration:  Large numbers of Meadow Pipits, Goldfinch and Swallow on the move today including over 1100 pipits past St Aldhelm's Head by 10am, and 550 Swallow over Christchurch Harbour in a 90-minute sample count.

Late news:  A Bittern reported from Leigh Rd (Wimborne) at the weekend; 500+ Canada Geese over Sturminster Marshall Gravel Pits on Saturday.
