Goosander - 7 on the Stour between Shapwick and Sturminster Marshall, 4 off Shipstal Point, Arne
Black-throated Diver - 1 in Studland Bay
Great Northern Diver - 2 in Studland Bay, 1 off Hengistbury Head
Slavonian Grebe - 1 in Studland Bay, 1 off Redhorn Quay, Poole Harbour
Black-necked Grebe - 49 in Studland Bay
Bittern - 1 at Arne Moors
Merlin - 1 at Stoborough Heath
Purple Sandpiper - 1 at Portland Bill
Grey Phalarope - 1 at Chesil Cove
Great Skua - 1 off Portland Bill
Little Gull - 1 past Hengistbury Head
Black Guillemot - 1 off Portland Bill late morning only
Short-eared Owl - 2 at Wyke Down
Richard's Pipit - 1 still in fields just west of the Bridging Camp, Wyke Regis
Water Pipit - 1 near the visitor centre at Stanpit
Hume's Warbler - 1 still near Littlesea, The Fleet
Firecrest - 13 at Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens
Great Grey Shrike - 1 near Down Farm, Wyke Down
Snow Bunting - 1 flew north over Blacknor, Portland

Also - just over the Wiltshire border, a Short-eared Owl was seen quartering the fields near the car park at Win Green

Late news - a juvenile Goshawk was photographed on private land in the Avon Valley back on 7th December
